Warmed up with a short run with the dog, followed by a fast paced tempo run.

Went to bed before 8pm, and slept pretty hard through most of the night. I warmed up, stretched, and did push ups, pull ups, and upper body cross training. Took the dog for a mellow warm up. After that I did my usual tempo route and ended up averaging a 6:05/mi pace before cooling down for around 3 miles.
The run went well, but my hips are a bit sore. This might be a case of being tight after several days off, but I can't dismiss the fact that my road shoes are getting worn out.
