Intervals (5.8mi)

Ran 1/2 mile intervals with the dog.

Time: 44 min

Went to bed early and slept well, but still have some catching up to do.  Did my warm up, stretching, and lower body cross training.

Warmed up with 1 mile run to the soccer fields, followed by 8 x 100 m striders (w/100 m cool downs.) After that, we ran 4 x 800 m intervals w/200 m cool downs. Finished up with an easy run back home.

Dog did well again, but was too hyper much of the time.  The first and third intervals went well, being around 5:30/mi & 5:45/mi.  The even numbered ones were slower, but still under 6:00/mi.  This was mostly due to the dog zig-zagging in front of me while slowing down as well as randomly darting in the wrong direction.  I don't know why she was acting up, but it didn't help my times.
